Today’s Feature Friday spotlights one of our retail partners from Michigan: Claymore Shop of Petoskey. Founded in 1966, Claymore Shop carries an extensive collection of high quality merchandise. The store places an emphasis on selling styles suitable for the global traveler. Claymore’s friendly staff is happy to assist clients in locating and ordering hard to find items, and the store offers in-house tailoring services.
Petoskey is a resort community located along the Lake Michigan shoreline. The town was originally settled by—and later named after—Native American Chief Ignatius Petosega. The town has a high concentration of Petoskey stones, the state stone of Michigan. Petoskey was the setting for several of Ernest Hemingway’s Nick Adams stories. Smithsonian Magazine recently ranked Petoskey sixth in its list of best small towns to visit in 2013.
