Today’s Feature Friday spotlights one of our retail partners in Virginia: Highcliffe Clothiers. Highcliffe has provided the men of Middleburg with the finest fabrics in the world for nearly 20 years. Mark Metzger, the store’s owner, is an award-winning fitter and designer. Highcliffe specializes in custom clothing designed to match the personal image and style of each customer. Mark, a past president of The Custom Tailors and Designers Association, previously taught custom clothing classes in New York City and worked with the United States Marines transitional assistance program where he taught Marines about dressing for success.
Middleburg is a small town in northern Virginia. The town was founded in 1787 by American Revolutionary War Lieutenant Colonel John Powell. In 1863, the town was the site of two skirmishes in the Civil War. Middleburg was used for filming scenes for the popular show The West Wing. President John F. Kennedy and First Lady Jackie Kennedy owned an estate just outside of Middleburg.
