Today’s Feature Friday spotlights one of our retail partners in New York: Vittorio Menswear. Vittorio Barbagallo founded the store in Rochester in 1972. More than forty years later, the shop remains a family-owned business – now under the direction of Matthew and Jennifer McDermott. Vittorio’s is a tuxedo shop that provides formal wear for all sorts of special occasions.
Rochester is located in western New York and has been home to two of the most influential voices in U.S. history. Frederick Douglass started The North Star, an abolitionist newspaper, in Rochester. Susan B. Anthony, a key leader in the women’s suffrage movement, lived in Rochester. The city has also been the origin of several successful companies, including Kodak, Xerox, and Bausch & Lomb.
