Feature Friday – Harry Mayer Clothiers

Today’s Feature Friday spotlights one of our retail partners in Mississippi: Harry Mayer Clothiers. In 1937, the late Harry Mayer Sr. emigrated to the United States. At the time, he didn’t know a word of English. After working at a local department store for more than three decades, Mayer opened his own business in 1972. Harry Mayer Clothiers is now a third-generation family business. The shop carries men’s and women’s clothing and accessories.

Meridian is located in eastern Mississippi. In 1864, much of the city was burned to the ground at the orders of Union General William Tecumseh Sherman. Today, the city has a thriving military and healthcare economy. Meridian was the birthplace of Jimmie Rodgers, the “Father of Country Music.”

Feature Friday – Trappings

Today’s Feature Friday spotlights one of our retail partners in Minnesota: Trappings. Located in Minneapolis, the unique store opened in 2013. The shop carries men’s sportswear, accessories, and gifts – new and vintage.

Minneapolis is the largest city in Minnesota. Along with St. Paul, Minneapolis is nicknamed one of the “Twin Cities”. Minneapolis is also known as the “City of the Lakes” for its many lakes and wetlands.

Feature Friday – East Bay Clothiers

Today’s Feature Friday spotlights one of our retail partners in Alabama: East Bay Clothiers. Genie McCown opened East Bay Clothiers in beautiful downtown Fairhope in 1994. The shop carries men’s and women’s clothing and accessories and grooming products.

Fairhope is located on the shoreline of Mobile Bay. The city’s location and shopping options make it a popular tourist destination. Fairhope was recently named the “Best Small Town in the South” by Southern Living magazine.

Feature Friday – Gould’s Clothing

Today’s Feature Friday spotlights one of our retail partners in Massachusetts: Gould’s Clothing. Brothers David and George Gould opened the first Gould store in 1934. Several locations and more than 80 years later, the business – now located in Acton – is still family-owned. Gould’s carries men’s and women’s clothing and formal wear and offers on-site tailoring services.

Acton is a suburban town located approximately twenty minutes north of Boston. Acton was recently named one of the best places to live by Money Magazine. Actor Steve Carrel is from Acton.

Feature Friday – Norman Stockton

Norman StocktonCheck out today’s Feature Friday spotlights one of our retail partners in North Carolina: Norman Stockton. Norman Stockton founded his store in Winston-Salem in 1909. The shop is now in its third-generation of family ownership. Norman Stockton specializes in men’s dress clothes and accessories and offers complimentary on-site tailoring.

Winston-Salem is the product of a merger between two towns in 1913. Winston-Salem has several nicknames, including “Twin City”—for its dual heritage—“Camel City”—for its connection to the tobacco industry and Camel cigarettes—and “City of the Arts and Innovation”—for its commitment to fine arts and technological research. CBS MoneyWatch recently named Winston-Salem one of the best places to retire in the United States.
