Today’s Feature Friday spotlights one of our retail partners in Kentucky: Heart Strings. Kathy Scariot opened Heart Strings in Bowling Green in 1995. Heart Strings is a unique gift store with something for everyone. The shop carries a wide range of specialty items – from apparel to home decor. You can read more about Heart Strings in this profile by the Bowling Green Daily News. Scariot also owns Chatters, a children’s clothing store located next door to Heart Strings.
Bowling Green is home to Western Kentucky University, the Chevrolet Corvette, and Dapper Classics headquarters. Although accounts vary, some claim Bowling Green is named after the eponymous park in New York City where patriots tore down a statue of King George III and used its lead for bullets during the American Revolution. The Grammy-Award-winning band Cage The Elephant got its start in Bowling Green.
