Feature Friday – Society Men

Today’s Feature Friday spotlights one of our retail partners in New Jersey: Society Men. MaryAlice Farella opened Society Men in Westwood in 2006. The store specializes in premium denim, sportswear, shoes, and accessories. Society Men was named Best Men’s Fashion in Bergen County in 2016.

Westwood is a borough located approximately thirty miles north of New York City. Westwood was the birthplace of the late actor James Gandolfini, best known for playing Tony Soprano in the popular show The Sopranos.

Feature Friday – French Creek Golf Club

Today’s Feature Friday spotlights one of our retail partners in Pennsylvania: French Creek Golf Club. French Creek Golf Club is a private golf club in Elverson. Designed by Gil Hanse, the course opened in 2003. The breathtaking course features flowing brooks, rolling hills, and picturesque woodlands. The 23,000 square foot Clubhouse, completed in 2005, has the feel of an established manor and complements the stone barn on the property which dates back to the early 1800s. French Creek hosts weddings and special events throughout the year.

Elverson is a borough in Chester County in southeast Pennsylvania. The town is named after James Elverson, former owner of the Philadelphia Inquirer – the third-oldest surviving daily newspaper in the United States.

 

Feature Friday – Boardroom Clothing Company

Today’s Feature Friday spotlights one of our retail partners in Georgia: Boardroom Clothing Company. Hamilton Kuhlke and Stan Reynolds, a father and son-in-law team, opened Boardroom Clothing in 1988. When Hamilton retired in 1995, Stan and his wife, Jennifer, assumed full ownership of the store. The shop specializes in classic clothing and sportswear. The Boardroom is regularly recognized as Augusta’s “Best Men’s Store” by Augusta Magazine.

Augusta is located on the border of Georgia and South Carolina. The city is best known for hosting The Masters PGA golf tournament. Augusta has been home to a wide range of public figures – from President Woodrow Wilson to controversial professional wrestling legend Hulk Hogan.

Feature Friday – Despos Tailoring

Today’s Feature Friday spotlights one of our retail partners in Indiana: Despos Tailoring. Despos Tailoring has been locally owned and operated out of Fort Wayne for over 65 years. Despos specializes in unique menswear and custom clothing.

Fort Wayne is located in northeast Indiana. The city is a former home to a variety of public figures, including Dave Thomas (founder of Wendy’s), Stephen King (best-selling author), and Rod Woodson (Super Bowl Champion and Pro Football Hall of Famer).

Feature Friday – Halberstadt’s Men’s Clothiers

Today’s Feature Friday spotlights our first retail partner in South Dakota: Halberstadt’s Men’s Clothiers. Halberstadt’s got its start in South Dakota in 1975.  The company now has six locations across three states (South Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota). Halberstadt’s flagship store is in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The Sioux Falls “Galleria” location carries fine menswear from top designers. The company’s mall locations offer high quality menswear at a value price.

Sioux Falls is the largest city in South Dakota. Sioux Falls was named after the waterfalls of the Big Sioux River (a river named after the Lakota people) located in the city. Sioux Falls is known for its numerous parks and green spaces. Downtown Sioux Falls is home to SculptureWalk, a sculpture exhibit that is updated yearly.

Feature Friday – VashTie Lifestyle Clothing

Today’s Feature Friday spotlights one of our retail partners in North Carolina: VashTie Lifestyle Clothing. VashTie is a family business located in historic downtown New Bern. Tom and Lynne Janyssek opened the shop in 2011. The store is named after Lynne’s grandmother, Vashti Stewart. VashTie carries men’s and women’s classic southern clothing.

New Bern is a small city in eastern North Carolina. The city is known as the birthplace of Pepsi. New Bern was also the setting for Nicholas Sparks’s popular novel The Notebook.
