Feature Friday – A. Vitullo

Today’s Feature Friday spotlights one of our retail partners in New York: A. Vitullo, Inc. The Vitullo family opened the store in 1914. Bob and Cindy Roth purchased the New Hartford shop in 2015. A. Vitullos carries clothing for work and play and boasts one of the largest selections of formal wear in the region. The majority of the store’s clothing is American-made. A. Vitullos offers on-site tailoring services by a Master Tailor.

New Hartford is suburb of Ithaca located in central New York. New Hartford has a rich history of manufacturing – carpets, nails, tanneries, paper, and textiles. Oneida County, known as the burned-over district, was a key site for revivals and the launch of new religions during America’s Second Great Awakening.

Feature Friday – Travers Mahan

Today’s Feature Friday spotlights one of our retail partners in Oklahoma: Travers Mahan. Travers Mahan is a family-owned business in Tulsa. For nearly 30 years the store has offered a wide range of menswear – from casual apparel to formal wear. The shop was recently recognized “Best of the Best” by Oklahoma Magazine.

Tulsa is located in northeast Oklahoma. Known as “The Oil Capital of the World,” Tulsa is home to the Golden Driller, a 76-foot tall statue honoring the city’s oil heritage. Tulsa is the birthplace of the legendary musician and performer Garth Brooks.

Feature Friday – Stephan G. Sanders

Today’s Feature Friday spotlights one of our retail partners in Indiana: Stephan G. Sanders. Located in Evansville, Stephan opened for business in 1974. For more than 40 years, Stephan has been working closely with clients to help them achieve their ideal looks. His shop, located downtown, carries a range of menswear – from week to weekend attire – and offers custom clothing services by a Master Tailor.

Evansville is located in southwest Indiana in the Indiana-Illinois-Kentucky tri-state area. Nicknamed “River City” for its location along the Ohio River, Evansville has been rated one of the best places “to live, work, and play.” The city is home to a popular casino, one of the oldest and largest zoos in the state, and historic Bosse Field, the third-oldest regularly-used baseball park in the United States. Bosse Field was used in the making of the filmĀ A League of Their Own.

Feature Friday – Sartorial Inc.

Today’s Feature Friday spotlights one of our retail partners in Florida: Sartorial Inc. Sartorial Inc. is a men’s specialty shop in St. Petersburg. The store aims to reflect the personality of St. Petersburg, offering high-end business, leisure, and performance wear.

St. Petersburg is located in the Tampa Bay Area of Florida. Nicknamed “The Sunshine City,” St. Petersburg holds the Guinness World Record for most consecutive days of sunshine (768 days). St. Pete, as it is often called, is a popular tourist and retirement destination.

Feature Friday – JT Ghamo

Today’s Feature Friday spotlights one of our retail partners in Connecticut: JT Ghamo. JT Ghamo was founded by brothers Joe and Tony Ghamo in 1986. Located in Hartford, the store carries an impressive selection of menswear and offers tailoring services. In its more than thirty years in business, the shop has received numerous awards for its tuxedos and wedding services.

Hartford is the capital city of Connecticut. Serving as the headquarters for several insurance companies, Hartford is known as “The Insurance Capital of the World.” The historic city has been home to many prominent figures, including Mark Twain, J. P. Morgan, Frederick Law Olmsted.

Feature Friday – Corder + Co

Today’s Feature Friday spotlights one of our retail partners in Kentucky: Corder + Co. A shared passion for fashion resulted in Michele Jones and Adison Corder opening Corder + Co. in March of this year. Located in Somerset, the shop offers a carefully curated collection of men’s and women’s clothing and accessories.

Somerset is a small city located in south-eastern Kentucky. Somerset was referenced in the popular television series Justified. Somerset is located near two of Kentucky’s most popular outdoor sites: Cumberland Falls and Big South Fork.

Feature Friday – SJ’s Village Boutique

Today’s Feature Friday spotlights one of our retail partners in New York: SJ’s Village Boutique. Shirley Joseph, a professor of neuroscience at the University of Rochester, opened her shop in Pittsford nearly 30 years ago. The store carries men’s and women’s clothing, accessories, and jewelry – along with their own line of personal care items. SJ believes great style is always evolving, so her shop offers an ever-changing selection of unique items.

Pittsford is a suburb of Rochester. The town is home to the Oak Hill Country Club, one of the top golf courses in the nation – previously hosting the Ryder Cup and six major championships. Abby Wambach, one of the most decorated women in soccer (World Cup and Gold-medal winner), was born and raised in Pittsford.

Feature Friday – Hilton’s

Today’s Feature Friday spotlights one of our retail partners in North Carolina: Hilton’s. For nearly 30 years, Hilton’s has been the go-to destination for clothing in Wilson. The store stocks everything from t-shirts to tuxes for men. Hilton’s also carries an impressive selection of women’s clothing and accessories.

Wilson is located in central North Carolina. The city was once known as “The World’s Greatest Tobacco Market.” BB&T, one of the nation’s largest financial-holding companies, originated in Wilson.

 

Feature Friday – Newbury St.

Today’s Feature Friday spotlights one of our retail partners in Tennessee: Newbury St. Bo Rucker opened his store in Jackson in 2016. The shop offers an impressive collection of men’s clothing and accessories – from casual to dress. Earlier this year, Newbury St. was named “Best Men’s Fashion Store” by the Jackson Sun.

Jackson is located in west Tennessee. The city is widely considered to be the place referenced in Johnny Cash and June Carter’s hit song “Jackson”. Jackson was home to the legendary “King of Rockabilly,” Carl Perkins.

Feature Friday – Bernard’s

Today’s Feature Friday spotlights one of our retail partners in Alabama: Bernard’s “Store for Men”. Located on the square in historic downtown Jasper, Bernard’s opened in 1948. The store carries popular sportswear brands and offers custom clothing services. The shop is a go-to place in the community for quality clothes and good conversations.

Jasper is a small town in north-central Alabama. Jasper was once one of the leading producers of coal in the world. The city has been home to influential political families, including the Bankheads.
