Feature Friday – Logan’s of Lexington

Logan's of LexingtonToday’s Feature Friday spotlights one of our retail partners in Kentucky: Logan’s of Lexington. Harlan and Betty Logan opened Logan’s in 1964 in Midway, Kentucky. Logan’s later re-located to the Tates Creek Centre in Lexington. The store, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, is now in its second-generation of family ownership. Logan’s carries casual and formal wear and provides on-site professional tailoring. Same-day tailoring services are available when needed.

Founded in 1775, Lexington, Kentucky was named after Lexington, Massachusetts, the site of one of the first battles of the American Revolution. By 1820, Lexington, Kentucky had become one of the most prosperous towns west of the Allegheny Mountains. Lexington’s rich culture earned it the nickname “Athens of the West”. Nowadays, Lexington is commonly called the “Horse Capital of the World” due to its numerous horse farms. The city is home to the nation’s winningest men’s basketball program in NCAA history—the University of Kentucky Wildcats—and is the setting for the popular television show Justified.
